The vinegar factory Mussini was born in 1909 in Magreta, in the province of Modena. The Mussini family started the production of balsamic vinegar with the first three barrels in the attic, following the tradition of many peasant families in the area. In this same area, with its hot summers and cold winters, the tradition of balsamic vinegar was born centuries ago, to many as a secondary activity to working the land, practiced almost for fun and just for family consumption.
Producing balsamic vinegar today means for us in Mussini to go back to that world. Today the production is destined to consumers around the world and exploits modern technologies and equipments, but the will that lead our work remains the same: to make balsamic vinegar for passion, for the love of a product that brings within it the values the local culture and a sentimental value linked to a domestic environment where loved ones, harmony and the pleasure of being together are enclosed.
When we create our condiments, we try to bring on your table that world, translating these emotions in a high quality product carefully crafted. The respect for these traditional methods goes with the unremitting quest for excellence to ensure, both to experts and lovers of balsamic vinegar and to those who discover it for the first time, a unique and special product.
